Bio:
Fine Artist Sue Pilborough, originally from London but now based in Hertfordshire, creates textural sculptural artworks that are both provocative in not only the subject matter but also the materials used.

Her work is generally sculptural, including installation work, using various familiar materials in unusual context. It can be provocative, intricate, and fragile, with the ritualistic component of repetition and an emphasis on texture and materials, which infers a multitude of interpretations and connections.
As of 2019, she has a studio with the Digswell Arts Trust. This is a charity that supports emerging artists.
In 2018 Sue graduated with a BA (Hons) in Fine Art from the the Minerva Art Academy, Groningen, The Netherlands and also holds a Foundation Degree in Contemporary Fine Art from the University of Bedfordshire.
2020’s
I was very happy to be given the opportunity to work in a studio at The Forge, Digswell, which is part of the Digswell Art Trust. This has given me a great space and time to develop my work post graduation and nurture links with other artists and networks.
In 2022 I have become involved with Dacorum Creatives Art Hub, in Hemel Hempstead as a forum to promote arts culture in a community setting.
From the autumn of 2023 I have supported H’arts in Mind (local charity that supports people with mental health issues through art) by running community art projects.
